Valerie Bertinelli, 64, confidently displayed her figure in a two-piece bikini on Instagram Monday. The former Food Network star took a mirror selfie in a hotel room, sharing her thoughts on body acceptance. "At some point, I will discuss the challenges my body has faced this year," she wrote. "But for now, every lump, bump, wrinkle, and saggy part of me feels like acceptance and simple gratitude for standing in front of a mirror in a Manhattan hotel bathroom, ready to touch up my roots on a late Monday night."
In the photo, Bertinelli wore her dark brunette hair down and held a box of hair dye in front of the mirror. She tilted her head slightly and offered a gentle smile as she snapped the picture. Fans responded with praise, celebrating her embrace of natural beauty at 64. "You are beautiful inside and out. Know that you are loved," one comment read. "Victory is yours over the negative committee that once dominated your thoughts! So proud of you!!! Truly!" another fan exclaimed. Bertinelli has been more open with her fans lately. Last month, she shared on Instagram that she had experienced an anxiety attack. "I'm posting because we're all out here doing our best, having a human experience, and none of us want to feel alone in that," she explained, adding that she took a chance by sharing her story to help others dealing with anxiety.
Bertinelli also showed a gash on her arm after tripping on a stage in October. More recently, she marked two years since finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Tom Vitale with a heartfelt message on Instagram. "Today marks two years of freedom. Two years of navigating self-doubt and striving to come out the other side. Two years of realizing I didn't deserve to tolerate the intolerable," she wrote in her post. The "One Day at a Time" actress added, "I promise you. It gets better. Some days will still be hard and challenging, but on other days, the light will shine brighter, and you will feel it. I love you."
Bertinelli was married to Vitale from 2011 to 2021. She previously mentioned that the exes "became very unkind to one another" towards the end of their marriage. Following her divorce, Bertinelli had a long-distance relationship with Mike Goodnough that lasted ten months, ending in early November.
