Valerie Bertinelli is recovering from a nasty injury. The 64-year-old actress and TV personality posted a picture on Instagram on Tuesday showing a significant cut on her right arm. Bertinelli posed in front of a mirror to display the extensive wound that ran from her wrist to just below her elbow. "I would ask for hazard pay, but it was my own damn fault. 🥴," she commented.

"I've been working on a really exciting new project that I can't wait to share with you, and this is what happens when you literally trip over the edge of a stage and fall in front of the crew and the entire audience," Bertinelli added. "When you're me. Because I'm a klutz. And embarrassing myself is my specialty. 😅."

In the photo, Bertinelli made a face while wearing a shirt that read, "More Hope. More Kindness." Fans quickly filled the comments section of her post, wishing her a speedy recovery after seeing the large cut. "Ouch! I hope it heals quickly!" one person wrote.

"Wow girl! It could have been much worse! Glad you're okay! Embarrassment aside!" another fan commented. "Thank God nothing broke," someone else added. A fourth comment read, "I hope you're okay 🙏🏻❤️ I can't wait to hear about your new project."

It's uncertain what Bertinelli's new project is, but she recently joined "The Drew Barrymore Show" as a regular lifestyle expert. "I absolutely adore her," Bertinelli told People about Barrymore, 49. "And everyone who works there is so cool."

It's been almost a year since Bertinelli was let go from the Food Network. She hosted "Valerie's Home Cooking" and was a judge on "Kids Baking Championship" and "Food Network Star" before her dismissal. "I learned so much. It's sad it's not about cooking and learning anymore. Oh well, that's just business, folks," Bertinelli said on Threads in April while criticizing the network. Bertinelli previously disclosed that she was let go due to budget constraints.

"I've been avoiding facing what I confirmed last night and didn't want to talk about it last night [because] I wanted to sleep on it because it really hurt my feelings," she sadly explained on Instagram in January. "I know it's not supposed to. Logically, I know it's business [and] budget cuts, right? But it really hurt my feelings to know that I'm not going to be asked back to be on 'Kids Baking Championship.'"

Bertinelli's longtime manager, Marc Schwartz, told Variety after her firing, "Her deal expired, they chose not to renew it. They could have come to me with an offer just for 'Kids.' They never did. Simple as that."
