A recent indie sensation is set to pay tribute to one of its major influences. Today, during Konami's Castlevania Fair event on Steam, Poncle—the developers behind Vampire Survivors—revealed the Ode To Castlevania DLC pack, which will be accessible for all game versions on October 31 for $4.
Ode To Castlevania is described as 'an all-out celebration' of the enduring adventure series, marking the largest update in Vampire Survivors' short history. The content pack will introduce over 20 new heroes, 40 new weapons, and the largest map the game has ever featured, filled with 'sinister secrets and a host of baneful bosses.' Some of the names and weapons specifically included in the DLC are detailed below.
Additionally, the pack will incorporate over 30 music tracks from Castlevania's rich history, remixed in the Vampire Survivors style by composers Daniele Zandara and Filippo Vicarelli, among others. A sample track, Vampire Killer, was unveiled alongside the announcement.
This is not the first collaboration between Konami and Poncle. Earlier this year, a Contra crossover event brought the shooter's iconic heroes Bill and Lance to Vampire Survivors, while the crewmates from Among Us battled monsters via the Emergency Meeting pack in December 2023.
The Ode To Castlevania pack for Vampire Survivors is scheduled to launch on October 31 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.
