Toast to the conclusion of an era as Bravo declares that “Vanderpump Rules” will not return for a 12th season with its original cast. Instead, a fresh iteration of the show is set to debut, featuring Lisa Vanderpump alongside a new ensemble of “tight-knit SUR-vers” whose relationships promise to be as intricate as those of their predecessors.
Production for the 12th season is slated to commence next year, though the premiere date and cast details remain undisclosed. Executive producer Alex Baskin expressed excitement about the new chapter, stating, “It’s a privilege to continue the legacy of this series with a new cast that will bring fresh dynamics and friendships to the screen.”
Lala Kent shared her emotional response on social media, reflecting on her journey from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, where she found a second home at SUR. Kent, who joined the show in its fourth season, expressed gratitude for the opportunities and relationships formed over the years.
Lisa Vanderpump also acknowledged the end of an era, thanking everyone involved in the show’s 12-year run. She noted, “In the restaurant business, one shift always leads to another. Here’s to the next generation of ‘Vanderpump Rules.’”
The announcement follows the recent closure of Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s second restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy’s, which will shut its doors at the end of December after two years in operation. “Vanderpump Rules” first premiered in 2013 as a spinoff of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” chronicling the lives of Vanderpump and her staff at SUR, including Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Stassi Schroeder.
