The 31.7-meter Versilcraft motor yacht Illusions partially submerged while docked at the former Romeo Packing plant in Isla Mujeres, Mexico on August 11.

Local media reported that personnel from the Ninth Naval Region were the first to arrive on the scene on Sunday, August 11, while the Department of Marine Environmental Protection and the Port Authority of Isla Mujeres responded on Monday morning, August 12.

The yacht was initially reported to be taking on water on Saturday evening and subsequently partially sank overnight into Sunday morning. Built in 1991 and designed by Antonio Maggini, Illusions is one of the yard's Super Challenger models, with its latest refit in 2008.
