Virgin Mobile has announced that customers affected by the service disruption on Monday will receive 5GB of free data as a gesture of apology. This confirmation was provided to Khaleej Times on Tuesday.
"All customers should have their free data credited to their accounts by the end of the day on Wednesday," stated Rob Beswick, the Managing Director of Virgin Mobile UAE. "We apologize for the inconvenience caused during Monday's outage, as we understand our customers expect a seamless connection and exceptional customer service," Beswick added. He further mentioned, "Our team worked diligently to reduce the impact and keep our customers informed. We hope that the free data we are offering will partially compensate for the inconvenience."
On Monday morning, some Virgin Mobile customers faced difficulties in making or receiving calls and were unable to access the mobile application. Frustrated users took to social media to voice their concerns, highlighting the lack of team support and non-functioning customer service during the outage.
