Walmart appears to be clearing out its inventory of select video game-inspired mini fridges, as two of the most popular models are now available for just $29 each.
Minecraft enthusiasts can snag an officially licensed mini fridge modeled after the iconic Creeper mob from the game. The Minecraft Creeper Mini Fridge stands over two feet tall and emits a green glow in low light conditions. Originally priced at a steep $168, the new $29 price tag suggests a closeout deal, possibly marking the Creeper's departure from Walmart's shelves. For comparison, Target offers the same mini fridge with a green and blue Creeper for $100, while Amazon does not carry either model, with third-party sellers listing it for more than double Walmart's current price. In essence, if you're keen on owning the Minecraft Creeper Mini Fridge, now is the time to act. It's part of Walmart's official holiday deals, and over 1,000 orders have been placed in the last 24 hours. At the time of writing, hundreds of shoppers had the Creeper Mini Fridge in their carts.
The other noteworthy gaming mini fridge on sale for $29 is the officially licensed Xbox Series X Mini Fridge thermoelectric cooler—the one released in 2021, not the updated full-sized fridge that debuted last year for $250. Like many of these small appliances, both the Minecraft Creeper and Xbox Series X designs are marketed as mini fridges, but they are technically thermoelectric coolers. These devices operate louder and are less effective at chilling beverages compared to real mini fridges, making them less practical. However, at $29, they are undeniably cool novelty items, whether you use them to store cans of Game Fuel or as small cabinets on your desk for organizing accessories.
If you're considering purchasing a themed mini fridge or thermoelectric cooler this holiday season, Walmart offers several other budget-friendly options, which we've listed at the end of this article.
