GOG has announced that Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 will be delisted from their platform on December 13, following a request from developer Blizzard. Despite this, the games will remain playable for those who have already purchased them.

GOG has also introduced a new feature as part of its Preservation Program, which ensures that delisted games maintain their compatibility even after removal from the storefront. This includes ongoing tech support, including support for any future changes to the Windows OS that might impact the games.

In addition, GOG is offering a small discount on both games before they are delisted. Customers can use the code MakeWarcraftLiveForever on the GOG bundle to save $2.

In a statement, GOG expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Blizzard on these titles. "While the delisting is unfortunate, we assure you that every user who already owns these games on GOG will continue to benefit from our commitment and have access to versions that remain compatible with modern systems, preserving their experience for years to come."

Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 were remastered last month, bringing with them a host of new features. Warcraft 1 saw improvements in controls and user interface, while Warcraft 2 continues to support multiplayer and legacy map compatibility.
