There are few experiences more exhilarating in life than drifting a car. The next best thing, however, is watching someone else drift and living vicariously through their thrilling moments. Join us as we take a front-row seat to witness the GR Yaris tearing up the track in a series of incredibly satisfying sideways maneuvers.

YouTuber Óscar Faraday recently shared a short video on his channel, showcasing a collection of drift clips captured at a race track. Behind the wheel of the Toyota GR Yaris, the coolest hot hatch that unfortunately isn't available in America, Faraday demonstrates his impressive drifting skills. The video captures him pushing the car to its limits, aggressively maneuvering the steering wheel and applying the brakes to initiate rotations, then flooring the throttle to maintain those rear wheel spins.

The Yaris's Sport mode, which directs 70 percent of the turbo three-cylinder engine's power to the rear, likely played a significant role in aiding Faraday's performance. Although his GR Yaris isn't entirely stock, featuring lightweight wheels from Braid wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, along with aftermarket camber plates and upgraded brakes, these modifications likely contributed to the smooth, controlled slides.

According to the video's description, the tires "did not survive the day." Given that all the drifting was performed on dry pavement, this comes as no surprise. The cost of those tires, approximately $900, was undoubtedly worth every penny for the sheer joy and excitement experienced.
