The next time you find yourself at Burjuman Metro Station, seek out the vibrant workspace known as WO-RK. Designed to serve busy commuters in one of Dubai's most bustling metro stations, this space allows for on-the-go work, with daily rates beginning at Dh35. Launched on June 25 in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority Dubai (RTA), WO-RK offers a range of membership options: a day pass for Dh35, part-time membership for Dh200 per month (with 30 hours of access), and full-time membership for Dh650 per month, granting unlimited access. The facility also includes a pantry stocked with free water and coffee. With a capacity of 100 seats, WO-RK operates from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays. Shahzad Bhatti, founder of The Co-Spaces, shared that the RTA chose Burjuman due to its high traffic, hinting at potential expansion to other metro stations in the future. Situated within the Dubai Metro network, WO-RK @Burjuman Metro eliminates the need for car travel and provides last-mile transport solutions, supporting Dubai's entrepreneurial and flexible work culture. Bhatti also highlighted the renovated workspace as an alternative for those seeking a change of scenery, noting its open availability to students and employees with affordable pricing. Originally from the UK, Bhatti's experience in co-working spaces began in London during the early 2000s. The Co-Spaces, a certified business incubator by Dubai SME, introduces WO-RK @Burjuman Metro as a redefinition of the entrepreneurial environment, promoting sustainability and reducing congestion. This 4,000 sq ft space offers flexible booking options for private offices, meeting rooms, and open-plan areas, aiming to support a balanced work/life integration in line with Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
