The much-anticipated Yakuza Remastered Collection, which unites Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 into one package, has finally begun its rollout. A listing on the PlayStation Store inadvertently revealed the compilation just hours before Sega officially announced it. The first game in the collection, Yakuza 3, is launching today.

Sega's director of production, Sam Mullen, confirmed the news on Twitter, and it's now available on the PlayStation Store. The localization has been refined, and the games include all their original content. Digital releases will be available as they are completed, followed by a packaged version once all games are finished. After Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4 will be released on October 29, and Yakuza 5 is scheduled for next February.

The three Yakuza games were remastered individually in Japan, but Western fans have long hoped for a compilation that brings them all together. Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a prequel setting the stage. Yakuza 6 is the most recent and concludes the main story of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio may not be finished with the Yakuza world. The recent game Judgment is set in the same fictionalized setting, and Sega has hinted at another Yakuza-related announcement for August 29.
