On Monday, August 5, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a yellow alert due to ongoing rough seas and fresh winds blowing in a northwesterly direction, reaching speeds of up to 40kmph.

The weather department highlighted that the Arabian Gulf, particularly westward, will face rough seas with waves sometimes reaching 6 feet. This warning, effective from 1am to 6pm, urges caution for individuals participating in outdoor activities. Similar alerts were issued on Saturday and Sunday.

Today, residents of the UAE can anticipate a partly cloudy to cloudy day, which may become dusty at times. Low clouds are expected along the eastern coast, potentially leading to convective cloud formation and light rainfall, especially eastward and southward in the afternoon. Earlier this morning, light rains were reported in areas of Fujairah and Khor Fakkan.

Videos shared by Storm Centre depict heavy drizzles and light rains across various parts of the country. Temperatures are forecasted to peak at 40℃ in Abu Dhabi and 41℃ in Dubai. Humidity levels could drop to 15% in the mountains and rise to 80% in coastal areas and islands.

Light to moderate winds, occasionally strengthening, are expected to sweep across the country, causing dust and sand. The sea conditions are predicted to be slight to moderate, occasionally rough westward in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.
