The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow alert on Saturday, November 30, warning of rough seas and fresh northwesterly winds reaching up to 40kmph.
The weather department has indicated that the sea will experience rough conditions with waves up to 6 feet high in the Oman Sea until 11am on Sunday, December 1. Additionally, on Thursday, the department noted that the sea will be rough with waves reaching 10 feet in the Arabian Gulf until 7am on Sunday, December 1.
An orange alert signifies that individuals should remain vigilant and adhere to the advisories issued by the authorities.

In general, residents of the UAE can anticipate partly cloudy conditions today, which may become dusty at times. Low clouds are also expected to form over certain areas. Temperatures are forecasted to drop as low as 15ºC in the mountains. On Friday, the UAE recorded a temperature of 9.7ºC at Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah at 6.15am local time. Meanwhile, temperatures in internal areas could reach up to 30ºC, according to the weather department.
Moderate to fresh winds, occasionally strong, particularly over the sea, will contribute to the blowing of dust and sand across the country. The sea is expected to be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough at times in the Oman Sea.
