During The Game Awards, Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shenmue and Virtua Fighter, unveiled his upcoming game, Steel Paws, a mobile title. The cinematic trailer featured a young woman clad in robotic armor, accompanied by a few robot cats, as a colossal arena emerged from the ground. While the trailer didn't showcase the gameplay, it confirmed that the game is set to release in 2025 and is being published by Netflix. This partnership with Netflix means the game will be accessible with a Netflix subscription, and notably, the Netflix games library is largely devoid of typical mobile elements such as microtransactions.
