Zenless Zone Zero enthusiasts have a fresh update to anticipate. As per a recent post on the official PlayStation Blog, Zenless Zone Zero players will gain access to the 1.4 update on December 18. This update introduces several new features, including adjustments to the overall gameplay, enhancements tailored for PS5 Pro users, and most notably, two new playable characters.
Shi mentions that the 1.4 update brings improved visuals and haptic feedback for those playing on PlayStation 5. However, the real excitement lies in the two new playable agents HoYoverse is introducing with the 1.4 update. One of these new characters is Hoshimi Miyabi, who will be introduced in the event titled 'A Storm of Falling Stars'. Miyabi serves as the chief of Section 6, making her the youngest Void Hunter in the universe, and she is a Frost Anomaly agent who wields a sword.
The second new character arriving on December 18 is Asaba Harumasa, described by Shi as an 'Electric Attack agent whose weapon can shift between bow and blade'. Harumasa is also capable of moving fluidly across the battlefield.
In addition to the new characters, the gameplay itself will undergo some changes when 'A Storm of Falling Stars' goes live. Shi explains, 'In version 1.4, Hollow Zero will undergo the major update, Shadows Lost, where Proxies plunge into fierce battles within the Lost Void, armed with additional support and equipment including weapons, Bangboo assist skill, and Resonia.' Agents like Miyabi, Ellen, Yanagi, and Billy will have the opportunity to demonstrate their exclusive Gear.
Shi further adds that upon completing these missions, players will receive a new A-level Brawlerboo, among other rewards. Although Shi's blog post confirms the launch of Zenless Zone Zero version 1.4: A Storm of Falling Stars on December 18, it does not specify the exact time the update will be available.
