A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck an area in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 82 kilometers from Guatemala. The epicenter of the quake was located near the town of Retalhuleu at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre and the German Research Centre for Geosciences.
The earthquake was felt in nearby villages and towns, but there were no reports of injuries or significant damage.
