50 Cent just can't seem to resist. The 49-year-old rapper, known for his hit "In da Club," took aim at Jay-Z on Instagram Monday. This came after the 55-year-old Roc Nation founder attended the premiere of "Mufasa: The Lion King," despite facing accusations of raping a 13-year-old girl over two decades ago.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, appeared unfazed as he posed on the red carpet with his wife Beyoncé, 43, their daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and mother-in-law Tina Knowles, 70. 50 Cent shared images of the family at the event on Instagram, commenting, "Jay said they said I rapped [sic] a kid, everybody get dressed we going to see Mufasa LOL." He later deleted the post.
Over the years, 50 Cent has frequently targeted Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is also named in the rape lawsuit alongside Jay-Z. In fact, 50 Cent is currently working on a Netflix documentary about the sexual assault allegations against Combs, 55, who was arrested in September on federal charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. His trial is set to commence in May 2025.
Despite the child rape allegation, Jay-Z seemed unperturbed at the Disney movie premiere on Monday night. Beyoncé and Blue Ivy lend their voices to the film (set for release on December 20) as Nala and lioness cub Kiara, respectively.
Sources with direct knowledge told The Post that prior to the allegations, there were rumors that Jay-Z and Beyoncé might not attend the premiere; however, they ultimately decided to show up. The Post reached out to Jay-Z and Beyoncé's team for comment.
On Sunday, Jay-Z was named as a defendant in a lawsuit initially filed against Sean "Diddy" Combs in October. The amended complaint, filed in New York on December 8, alleges that the rappers raped the woman, identified only as Jane Doe, at an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 while an unnamed female celebrity watched.
Jay-Z swiftly issued a statement denying the "heinous" allegations. He described the lawsuit as a "blackmail attempt" and pledged to fight the legal battle, demanding that Jane Doe reveal her identity. The "Empire State of Mind" singer also addressed his wife and three children, stating, "My only heartbreak is for my family."
"My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of young people," his statement, posted on Roc Nation's X account (formerly Twitter), read in part. "I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit," Jay-Z added.
In addition to Blue Ivy, Jay-Z and Beyoncé are parents to twins Rumi and Sir, 7. Tina joined the famous couple and Blue Ivy at the "Mufasa" premiere, despite having "liked" a post about the allegations against her son-in-law. She later claimed that she was hacked.
Taking to social media, Beyoncé's mom shared a screenshot of her notes reading, "I was hacked! As you all know I don't play with my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!" She captioned the post, "Please stop playing with me !!!! 'No weapon formed against my family shall prosper.'"
