The Bangladesh Air Force's C-130J transport aircraft departed from the Hindon Air Force base on Tuesday morning at approximately 9am IST, en route to its subsequent destination, according to sources. Indian security agencies are closely monitoring the aircraft. It is crucial to mention that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was not aboard the C-130J transport aircraft that took off from Hindon today. The aircraft is carrying 7 military personnel back to its base in Bangladesh, sources reveal.

Sheikh Hasina arrived in India on Monday evening following her resignation. Her next steps, whether she will remain in Delhi or relocate elsewhere, remain uncertain. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar led an all-party meeting in Parliament on Tuesday, updating leaders on the developments in Bangladesh. He discussed the unfolding events in Bangladesh and the current state of affairs, emphasizing how India is accommodating Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and ensuring her safety, as reported by sources from the all-party meeting.

Jaishankar expressed that Sheikh Hasina is in India, and the Indian government is providing her with the opportunity to outline her future plans. On social media platform X, Jaishankar shared, "Briefed an All-Party meeting in Parliament today about the ongoing developments in Bangladesh. Appreciate the unanimous support and understanding that was extended." He also informed the leaders that the central government is in contact with the Bangladesh Army and will act appropriately in due time.

During the meeting, it was revealed that there are 20,000 Indian nationals in Bangladesh, with 8,000 having already returned. Jaishankar assured that the Indian government is in touch with these nationals and that the High Commission continues to function. The focus on protecting minorities was also emphasized in the all-party meeting.

Bangladesh is currently experiencing a volatile political climate with Sheikh Hasina's resignation amid escalating protests. The protests, primarily led by students demanding the abolition of the quota system for government jobs, have evolved into widespread anti-government demonstrations.
