Bollywood stars Arjun Rampal and Bipasha Basu have conveyed their profound grief following the passing of esteemed journalist and film producer Nari Hira. Hira, the creator and editor of Stardust Magazine, died on August 23 at the age of 86. On Saturday, Rampal shared a collection of images with Hira on his Instagram, capturing moments from their shared experiences, including events and portraits of the late media tycoon. Accompanying the photos, Rampal wrote a poignant message: "Devastated. A publishing icon has departed. Nari Hira, who transformed Indian publishing through Stardust to Society, turning Magna into a pillar of the industry. Despite being the soul of media, he remained aloof from the glitz and glamour. You will be dearly missed, my friend. Rest in peace. Your legacy will endure in our hearts. #RIPNariHira"
Basu also shared her dismay and sorrow upon learning of Hira's death. She posted a photograph from an event where she was alongside Hira on her Instagram stories, with a brief message: "RIP #narihari Om Shanti."
Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini also offered her condolences via social media. Reflecting on Hira's life, she expressed, "I am deeply saddened by the sudden death of media mogul Mr. Nari Hira, the founder of Magna Publishing. He was incredibly kind and supportive, always a champion of emerging talents in the film industry. I have graced many covers of Stardust magazine and received awards at Stardust and Society Achievers Awards. He held me in high regard and was always supportive. My heartfelt condolences to his family; may his soul find peace."
