A cafeteria in Abu Dhabi is facing closure due to posing a significant risk to public health, following the discovery of insects in the food preparation area. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has made the decision to close Spot Karak Cafeteria in the emirate for breaching Law No. (2) of 2008 on food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislation. It has been emphasized that the establishment's disregard for food safety requirements and repeated high-risk violations has directly compromised food safety, particularly with the presence of insects in the food preparation area. The administrative closure order will remain in place until the issues are resolved, allowing the establishment to rectify the situation and meet all necessary requirements to resume its operations.
