Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release globally on October 25, and Treyarch has unveiled the patch notes detailing all the updates post-beta. These include modifications to weapons and minor tweaks to several multiplayer maps in Black Ops 6. The game features campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes. Although some players in New Zealand have already started playing due to time zone differences, the official launch is scheduled for tomorrow. Treyarch has announced that all side Easter eggs and main story quests for both Zombies maps will remain locked until 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST on October 25 to prevent spoilers and ensure a fair start for all players.

For multiplayer, Treyarch has made adjustments to aim assist at close ranges. Aim assist was disabled at close range during the beta, but a weak aim assist has been reintroduced for this range. Weapon changes include improved pistol and dedicated melee-swap speeds, and a slight increase in weapon-butt melee attack speeds. Additionally, adjustments have been made to sway, bob, and overall weapon motions to enhance the point of aim when aiming down sights. Treyarch has also made several small map adjustments for Skyline, Scud, and Rewind, including a fix for the frustrating head-glitch spot on Scud's large satellite dish, which now allows for bullet penetration on the dish panels.

Audio enhancements include the addition of Black Ops 6's new HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) feature, part of the Enhanced Headphone Mode available to all players for free. The developer has also added a setting to disable licensed music across all modes, which is particularly useful for content creators and streamers. The full patch notes for Black Ops 6 can be viewed below, as revealed by Treyarch.
