Sundance Head, the country singer who emerged victorious in season 11 of “The Voice,” was shot on his Texas ranch on Friday. Jason “Sundance” Head’s agent, Trey Newman, informed The Post that he is in stable condition, noting that the gunshot wound was located in his naval area. “It missed all vital organs,” Newman clarified, emphasizing that the injury was not self-inflicted.
“We are uncertain whether it was an accidental discharge from his own gun or if it was another hunter in the vicinity,” Newman stated. The representative further explained that the bullet is lodged in some fatty tissue, and the only plausible scenario is that it passed through another object before reaching him. Head himself called 911, and he was subsequently airlifted from his ranch.
Initially, it was thought that he would require immediate surgery, but Newman revealed that surgery does not currently seem necessary. “It appears they will leave the bullet in place,” Newman mentioned. Meanwhile, Head’s wife is en route to the hospital to gather more details from the doctors. The status of his consciousness remains uncertain.
TMZ was the first to break the news. This story is still unfolding.
