Danny Pintauro, known for his role in “Who’s The Boss?”, was hospitalized on Thanksgiving following a scooter accident. The 48-year-old actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share photos and videos of himself in a hospital bed, along with a detailed account of the incident.

Pintauro explained that he was riding in a bike lane when it was suddenly blocked by cones, forcing him to choose between a van and a pylon. The collision resulted in a painful scrape on his arm, and he initially feared he had broken it. However, the pain subsided the next morning, leading him to believe it wasn’t as serious as he thought.

Two days later, Pintauro began experiencing significant chest pains and difficulty breathing. His husband, Wil Tabares, rushed him to Memorial Care Miller Hospital in Long Beach, California, where tests revealed an infection in his bloodstream due to a tear in his stomach lining. The actor underwent emergency surgery to repair the tear, which he described as the most excruciating pain he had ever felt.

Despite the successful surgery, Pintauro remains under observation with a tube in his stomach, unable to eat or drink for three days. He emphasized the importance of not ignoring bodily signals, as the delay could have been fatal. Fans have been showing their support in the comments section, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Pintauro played Jonathan Bower in all eight seasons of “Who’s The Boss?”, which aired on ABC from 1984 to 1992. In 2015, he publicly disclosed his HIV-positive status on Oprah Winfrey’s “Where Are They Now?”
