Dubai Police have announced the establishment of 13 inspection checkpoints throughout the emirate to ensure that no modifications have been made to vehicles that could generate excessive noise, as stated on X on Saturday.

These checkpoints are also designed to confirm that any modifications to vehicles do not jeopardize the safety and comfort of road users and to verify the overall safety of the vehicles. Dubai Police revealed on Friday that they had seized 23 vehicles and three motorbikes in the Al Khawaneej area due to loud noises and disturbances caused by illegal vehicle modifications. These impoundments occurred within a 24-hour period.

Maj-Gen Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, the director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, mentioned, "24 traffic fines were issued against the violators, and the fine for releasing an impounded vehicle can reach up to Dh10,000 each."
