Dubai's innovative floating smart police station is set to become operational by the end of 2026, according to a senior officer from Dubai Police. This groundbreaking project, valued at Dh2 billion, is part of a broader strategic initiative aimed at enhancing public safety and service delivery. The floating station will provide essential smart services such as filing criminal reports, handling lost items, and processing various certificates and permits. These services will be available in six languages, catering to a diverse user base.

The station will offer a comprehensive package of 27 primary services and 33 subsidiary services, covering criminal, traffic, and other relevant matters. As the first of its kind in the Middle East, this floating station will serve island residents and sea-goers, offering them access to advanced smart police services. This initiative aligns with Dubai Police's broader strategy to integrate smart services across all areas of Dubai, particularly the World Islands.

This floating station represents the fourth iteration of smart police stations developed by Dubai Police. It follows the successful implementation of the 'SPS' Smart Police Station, the 'Drive-Thru' Smart Police Station, and the 'Walk-In' Smart Police Station. Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Al Tamimi, director of asset and facilities management at Dubai Police, highlighted the station's modern design, inspired by boats and yachts, which facilitates easy access and boarding.

The station aims to reduce the reliance on traditional service centers by leveraging artificial intelligence and robotics to streamline operations. The project was officially launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, underscoring its significance in Dubai's smart city vision.
