As September marks the final phase of summer, residents of the UAE can expect a gradual decline in temperatures. This month, in addition to the cooler climate, Dubai residents have another exciting prospect to anticipate — a groundbreaking entertainment experience that merges gaming with fitness, a first in the Mena region.

Designed for individuals aged six and older, this experience offers ten distinct levels, varying from easy to extreme. Known as 'Activate', the facility boasts nine interactive game rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology that reacts in real-time, delivering a thrilling, fast-paced, and adrenaline-pumping adventure.

Participants can either collaborate in cooperative mode or engage in competitive mode. As players progress, they can track their global ranking on the scoreboard, as each Activate facility is standardized with identical game rooms, enabling worldwide competition and connectivity.

Each room can host groups of two to five players, each designed to test both physical and mental agility. By combining gaming, entertainment, and physical activity, players can leap, climb, dodge, and solve puzzles across over 50 games. These include the TikTok-famous Mega Grid, featuring more than 500 multi-activated colored lights, and high-tech games that blend digital and physical elements such as Hoops, Strike, Portals, Press, Hide, and Control.

The new Activate facility will be situated at City Centre Mirdif in Dubai. Initially established in Winnipeg, Activate currently operates over 30 locations in Canada and the US, with plans to open 15 additional locations across North America this year, including the new Dubai site.
