Eric Johnson, husband of Jessica Simpson, was recently spotted without his wedding ring, sparking further speculation about the couple's marital status. Photos obtained by The Post show Johnson, 45, without the precious metal piece on his ring finger, amid ongoing rumors that his 10-year marriage to Simpson is on the verge of ending.
The former NFL star was seen on a walk with his parents in Los Angeles on Tuesday, sporting a casual look consisting of a dark hoodie, jeans, a backward baseball cap, and sunglasses. His bare finger has only intensified the divorce rumors, especially after a source told People that the couple has been leading "separate lives."
"She's working on music and divides her time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Eric spends all of his time in L.A., where the kids go to school," the insider revealed on Thursday. "Jess and Eric very much live separate lives."
The Post has contacted Simpson's representative for comment. Interestingly, Johnson isn't the only one who has been seen without a ring lately. Fans have noticed that Simpson hasn't been wearing her diamond ring for several months.
"Hasn't posted a pic of her husband in a year," one person commented via Instagram on Sept. 23. Another social media user added, "Where is the wedding ring ??? Ugh dang it. Another one bites the dust 😢" A third person remarked, "She reminds me of a newly single girl in her latest posts 🤷🏻♀️."
Page Six gave more credence to fans' observations when a source claimed that Simpson and Johnson have stopped attending their kids' school events together in recent months. Simpson's last Instagram post featuring her husband was on Sept. 19, 2023, for his 44th birthday. She captioned the sweet family photo with, "My heart is so taken with this Man, I could hardly call it my own. We love youuuu."
Simpson and Johnson tied the knot on July 5, 2014, and are parents to three children: daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, 3, and son Ace, 11.
