The Kremlin announced on Tuesday that the final arrangements for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia were being finalized. One of the primary focuses of the visit will be to enhance trade and economic ties between the two nations.

Although the exact dates for Modi's visit have not yet been disclosed by the Kremlin, a Russian state news agency previously reported that the visit is scheduled for July. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated to journalists that the visit is nearing completion of its preparation phase, describing it as 'a very important visit.'

Peskov also highlighted that discussions on regional and global security matters are consistently prominent in such high-level meetings. Furthermore, he noted that the expansion of trade and economic cooperation is a central topic of conversation, encompassing a broad range of collaborative sectors where there is mutual political commitment.

'This is the main thing,' Peskov concluded.
