A flydubai flight (FZ 39) departing from Dubai International (DXB) to Salalah Airport (SLL) on August 18, Sunday, had to return to Dubai due to persistent adverse weather conditions in Salalah, as confirmed by a flydubai spokesperson to Khaleej Times.
The spokesperson further advised passengers to monitor their flight status on flydubai.com for updated information.
On the preceding Saturday, flights connecting Salalah and Muscat were delayed owing to severe weather conditions, and Salalah Airport was temporarily shut down. Oman Air also recommended its passengers to check their flight status either on Oman Air's website or by contacting the call center.
