Starting August 1, the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) will refund fees paid for 'private clarification' of tax in certain cases where the clarification is not issued.
Under the 'private clarification' service, companies could request further clarification on one or more taxes issued by the FTA, with payment required from June 1, 2023. If the clarification is not provided, the full fee will be refunded. For requests involving more than one tax where clarification is only issued for one tax, a partial refund will be issued based on the difference between the fees for multiple and single tax clarifications.
