Sucker Punch's 2020 hit Ghost of Tsushima is officially getting a sequel. Announced during the September 24 State of Play, Ghost of Yotei is in development for PS5 and is set to launch in 2025. Ghost of Tsushima was one of Sony's fastest-selling new games upon release and has since sold over 8 million copies. The announcement of a sequel was thus inevitable. A Director's Cut of the game was released on PC earlier this year, featuring additional content. In addition to the Ghost of Tsushima sequel, a movie adaptation of the franchise is also in the works, directed by John Wick's Chad Stahelski. The Ghosts of Tsushima movie is being developed under the PlayStation Productions banner, which has previously produced films like Uncharted and Gran Turismo, as well as TV series such as Twisted Metal and The Last of Us. Upcoming projects include TV shows for God of War and Horizon, along with a Days Gone film.
