The renowned 70.7-meter Lürssen superyacht Skat has docked at Oceanco's facilities in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for a comprehensive refit. The project will entail significant aesthetic upgrades to both the interior and exterior, including the addition of 35 new windows, enhancing the yacht's extensive use of glass. Skat will also undergo technical upgrades, such as the installation of three new generators equipped with a full exhaust gas treatment system. Originally delivered in 2002 with a distinctive, militaristic design by Espen Øino, Skat boasts a vibrant, clean interior by Marco Zanini, along with amenities like a gym, library, and a spacious beach club with a dive shop. Notable for its bridge deck offering a 270-degree panoramic view, creating a unique 'conservatory effect', the superyacht was last sold in 2021 for a reported €49,500,000. According to BOATPro, Skat underwent a substantial, phased refit at STP Shipyard Palma in January 2024, where updates were made to the sundeck area and Jacuzzi.
