‘Images of Unconscious’ - A Must-See Exhibition by Dmitry Suhov at Oblong Contemporary Gallery

Oblong Contemporary Gallery presents "Images of the Unconscious", a solo exhibition by Russian artist and sculptor Dmitry Suhov, running from March 12 to March 29.
Recognized for his abstract expressionist approach, Suhov works with large-scale paintings and sculptural steles that merge texture, movement, and structure.
The exhibition explores the interplay of form, color, and texture, capturing the fluidity of the artist’s brushstrokes. Suhov’s engagement with the unconscious is reflected in
his color palettes and layered compositions, seamlessly integrating traditional Arab motifs with Eastern decorative techniques.

The result is a visual rhythm that oscillates between control and spontaneity. Each piece functions as a fragment of a larger narrative—guided by personal intuition and
artistic introspection.

Curated by Paola Marucci, owner of Oblong Contemporary, Elena Zaytseva, art historian, and Lena Lenskaya, the artist’s manager and founder of Lenskaya Design
Bureau, the exhibition places Suhov’s practice within an international context, reinforcing cultural exchange.

Dmitry Suhov has established a strong presence in both Russian and international art scenes, showcasing his work in numerous exhibitions across major cultural hubs. His
approach to abstract expressionism has earned him recognition among collectors and institutions, with his works held in private and corporate collections across Russia, the
UAE, the Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, the USA, the UK, and China.

On display at Oblong Contemporary Gallery until March 29.
