India's Supreme Court has granted bail to opposition leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a graft case, enabling his release after nearly six months of detention. Kejriwal was initially arrested in March by India's financial crime-fighting agency, just weeks before the country's national elections, in connection with alleged irregularities in the capital city's liquor policy. Despite being granted bail in that case in July, he remained in custody due to a prior arrest by the federal police in a separate graft case related to the same policy. Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have consistently denied the allegations, asserting that the cases are politically motivated.
