On October 6th, India and Pakistan will face off at the Dubai International Stadium for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group A match. This encounter will also be the 100th T20I held at this iconic venue, famously known as the Ring of Fire.

The India-Pakistan clash, scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm, will be the latest in a series of significant matches hosted at the DIS. The stadium's first T20I was a men's match between Pakistan and Australia in May 2009. Since then, the venue has hosted numerous high-profile games, including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 final and the ACC Men’s Asia Cup final in 2022. To date, the DIS has welcomed 92 men’s and seven women’s T20Is.

Fans can watch the match both at the stadium and globally through the tournament's broadcast. Emirates Cricket Board Vice-Chairman Khalid Al Zarooni expressed his excitement, stating, “This game is one of the most watched sporting events globally, and we are thrilled to host these two teams tomorrow. The fact that it is the 100th match at the DIS makes it even more special.”

Al Zarooni also took the opportunity to commend the Dubai International Stadium’s ground staff, venue team, and staff members, saying, “I want to wholeheartedly congratulate the team for their relentless efforts over the years, transforming the venue into one of the most popular cricket grounds in the world.” He added, “The facilities here are truly world-class, and the venue has earned the trust of the International Cricket Council, Member Boards, and players through the successful execution of numerous top-tier events.”
