Israeli forces have been conducting raids into southern Lebanon for months, discovering Hezbollah tunnels and weapon caches beneath homes, and revealing invasion plans by the group, according to Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari on Tuesday.

Hagari stated that the details were being declassified, just hours after Israel declared a ground invasion against the Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon. He revealed that dozens of such operations had uncovered detailed plans by Hezbollah to infiltrate Israel and execute an attack akin to the one orchestrated by the Palestinian militant group Hamas in southern Israel on October 7 last year.

The findings and evidence unearthed beneath homes in villages in southern Lebanon during these raids will be presented to the international community, Hagari noted. He also showcased videos from soldiers' body-cameras and maps.
