The Israeli military on Saturday cautioned residents of south Lebanon against returning to their homes as operations against Hezbollah militants in the region continued. Israeli forces are "targeting Hezbollah positions in or near your villages," stated military spokesperson Avichay Adraee on X. "For your safety, do not return to your homes until further notice. Avoid traveling south; anyone who does so may be putting their life in danger." In a different post, Adraee reiterated a previous call for health workers and medical teams in southern Lebanon to refrain from using ambulances, alleging that they are being utilized by Hezbollah fighters. "We urge medical teams to avoid contact with Hezbollah members and not to collaborate with them," he said. "The IDF (Israeli military) confirms that necessary measures will be taken against any vehicle transporting armed individuals, regardless of its type." Israel is currently involved in a multifaceted conflict as it continues to combat Palestinian militants in Gaza. In recent days, the military has conducted a vigorous ground and air offensive in northern Gaza, particularly around the city of Jabalia. On Saturday, Adraee urged residents in the area near Sheikh Radwan, south of Jabalia refugee camp, to evacuate. "The specified area, including the shelters within it, is deemed a hazardous combat zone," Adraee stated on X, directing residents to relocate to the humanitarian zone in the southern part of the strip.
