Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 11 Palestinians, according to health officials in the enclave. On Sunday, Israeli planes targeted several areas in the northern, central, and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

A school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Beit Lahiya, located in the northern Gaza Strip, was among the buildings hit. This incident led to the deaths of four people and injured several others, as reported by Gaza medics. The Israeli military claimed that they struck Hamas militants operating from a command center embedded within a compound that had previously served as Um Al-Fahm School. They accused Hamas of using civilian facilities and the local population for military purposes, a claim that Hamas denies.

In another strike, three people were killed in a house in Gaza City, according to medics. Additionally, four others were killed in three separate airstrikes in Nuseirat and Khan Younis, which are situated in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces continued their operations in Rafah, near the border with Egypt, and in the suburb of Zeitoun in Gaza City. Residents and Hamas media reported that forces had blown up several houses. On Sunday, the Israeli military stated that they are engaged in a 'multi-front war' and are operating in Gaza to rescue Israeli and foreign hostages and to 'dismantle' Hamas.

Troops discovered and dismantled an underground tunnel route that is approximately 1km long near residential buildings and civilian spaces in central Gaza. They also found several rooms and equipment used by Hamas for prolonged periods. The fighting and Israeli military activities in Gaza have decreased over the past week as Israel intensified its military offensive against Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, resulting in the killing of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in an airstrike on Friday. Hezbollah announced Nasrallah's death on Saturday.

Most of Gaza's population of 2.3 million have been displaced by the ongoing war, which has claimed the lives of 41,500 Palestinians, according to Gaza health authorities. Israel and Hamas have been engaged in conflict since gunmen from the Palestinian militant group stormed into southern Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people and capturing about 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies.
