This marked the 41-year-old's 188th and final Test before he steps away from England duty. Anderson holds the record for the most Test wickets by any fast bowler, with a staggering 704 wickets in the history of the format.
"It's been an incredible week, I've been deeply touched by the crowd's reaction and the support from everyone at the ground," Anderson shared with Sky Sports. "I'm just immensely proud of my achievements," he further stated.
The match concluded with Gus Atkinson claiming the final wicket, catching Jayden Seales in the deep. The debutant fast bowler shone with impressive match figures of 12-106, helping England take a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series.
