The Last Stand perk, which hasn't appeared in a Call of Duty game since 2017's Call of Duty: WWII, is making a comeback—in a manner of speaking—for Black Ops 6. Activision has revealed all the field upgrades available at launch for Black Ops 6, and one of them is the Morphine Injector. This field upgrade, unlocked at level 44, enables players to enter a 'Last Stand state' for a brief period. During this state, players who suffer fatal damage can be revived by teammates or by achieving a kill to self-revive.

Field upgrades in Call of Duty are special equipment that players acquire throughout matches by filling a meter based on their performance. These upgrades can be used for either offensive or defensive purposes. The Last Stand perk first debuted in 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and was featured in several subsequent games until Call of Duty: WWII.

Other field upgrades in Black Ops 6 include War Cry (boosts allies' movement speed and health regeneration for a set time), Tactical Insertion (lets you select your next spawn point), Acoustic Amp (enhances the sound of enemy footsteps), and Neurogas (releases a neurotoxic gas cloud causing enemies to hallucinate), among others.
