Turkish yard Mengi Yay has unveiled interior imagery of the inaugural unit in its sub-500GT Serenissima I (S1) series, following its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this year. Crafted by Italian firm Nuvolari Lenard, the 47.5-metre vessel was commissioned by an experienced owner seeking the deck and interior space of a larger yacht within a Mediterranean-friendly design. Notable features include an elevator, a dedicated owner's deck, and a spacious sundeck.

The S1 model boasts a steel hull and aluminium frame, designed for both range and speed. Naval architecture by Dutch studio Van Oossanen Naval Architects ensures a stable and efficient hull shape, enabling a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Designer Dan Lenard of Nuvolari Lenard describes the yacht as having a masculine, powerful bow and an unmistakable aft, complemented by graceful, feminine touches in its sleek profile and serene interior.

Interiors, designed by the Nuvolari Lenard team with artistic direction by Valentina Zannier, feature a warm, colorful aesthetic with textured wood panels and bronze details. Floor-to-ceiling windows enhance the lightness of all living spaces. Guest accommodation includes four cabins, with two convertible into a VIP suite. The owner's deck, located on the bridge deck, offers an aft-facing suite, an en suite bathroom with expansive views, and a private terrace adaptable for all seasons.

The sundeck is described as one of the largest in its class, featuring a sunbathing area, a mini pool with a forward view, and a fully sheltered lounge. Additional amenities include a main saloon with a balcony and a wine cellar. The beach club and cockpit are entirely sheltered, equipped with sofa seating, a bar, and folding bulwarks. A retractable, 2.6-tonne crane accommodates a large tender or car, alongside ample space for dive equipment, a 7.2-metre guest tender, two additional tenders, and a Jet Ski.

The S1 model is part of four recently released NL-branded superyachts, including a 52-metre NL 50 Plus model, and two larger models known as the NL 60 Plus and NL 65 Plus. Serenissima I is currently listed for sale with Northrop & Johnson, positioning her among the world's most expensive yachts on the market.
