Microsoft has revealed its goal to integrate all PC games featuring Xbox capabilities into the Xbox app, a vision that is now being realized with the inclusion of over 400 new games. Xbox's Chris Charla announced that titles such as Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Jackbox Party Pack, The Invincible, and a variety of games from established Japanese studios like Kemco and Kairosoft are now part of the Xbox app.

Charla also highlighted that 100 of these newly added games support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players who purchase the Xbox console version to also enjoy the game on their PC. He emphasized the advantages of this integration, including universal Xbox ownership, universal cloud saves, and cross-play functionality between Xbox games on console and PC.

The Verge reports that this move is part of Microsoft's broader strategy to attract developers from competing digital storefronts, which involves significantly reducing its revenue share to just 12%. Charla further stated that more updates will be shared at the Game Developers Conference 2025, scheduled for March of next year.

While Charla did not mention Xbox's direct-to-cloud controllers, previous reports suggest that these are currently in the testing and development phase. Additionally, Microsoft is working on enhancing the visual quality of its streams to enable Xbox game play without the need for a console capable of matching the performance of the Xbox Series X|S. Earlier this week, Microsoft also announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can participate in a pilot program to stream certain games they own on Xbox consoles.
