The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning to motorists about reduced visibility due to fog formation on Friday morning (May 31).
The weather department has issued a red alert, informing residents of decreased horizontal visibility, which may worsen at times until 8:30 in the morning.
Dubai Police, in a social media post, cautioned motorists about the poor visibility on both internal and external roads in the emirate, advising them to decrease speed and adhere to safety traffic guidelines.
Today, the UAE can anticipate generally fair weather, with a rise in temperature. It is expected to be humid by night and on Saturday morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation in some coastal areas.
The weather department has forecasted temperatures to reach up to 44ºC and 42ºC in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, respectively. Additionally, light to moderate winds will be prevalent across the country, while the sea is expected to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
