Arcane Season 2, inspired by League of Legends, and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft are set to be two of Netflix's most eagerly awaited new arrivals this fall. However, as showcased during Geeked Week, Netflix is heavily investing in video game adaptations beyond these shows, including new animated series for Splinter Cell, Devil May Cry, and Cyberpunk.
Fans have been clamoring for a new Splinter Cell game for over a decade, but this animated adaptation might just be the next best alternative. Liev Schreiber is stepping into the shoes of Sam Fisher, taking over from Michael Ironside in the show officially titled Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. While a teaser has been released, the series is yet to announce a release date.
Adi Shankar, producer of Castlevania, is bringing Devil May Cry to Netflix in April 2025. This series is based on Capcom's action games featuring the stylish demon hunter Dante. In the first teaser, Dante appears unfazed by his demonic adversaries, with the laws of physics and gravity seemingly irrelevant.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft also received a new trailer ahead of its premiere on October 10. Hayley Atwell is voicing Lara, as the narrative moves beyond the reboot trilogy, bringing Lady Croft closer to her video game origins.
Additionally, Netflix announced a new Cyberpunk animated series with a teaser available below. Further details about the show were not disclosed, but it will be the second animated Cyberpunk series on Netflix, following Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Netflix also recently shared a new trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne, with the second season of the video game adaptation set to arrive in January 2025.
