McLaren's Lando Norris led the Singapore Grand Prix from start to finish on Sunday, significantly reducing Max Verstappen's Formula One championship lead. The 24-year-old Briton, starting from pole position at the floodlit Marina Bay circuit, managed to keep his lead despite a few close calls with the circuit walls. Verstappen finished second for Red Bull, trailing by 20.945 seconds, while McLaren's Oscar Piastri secured third place in a grueling night race.

Norris's victory trimmed Verstappen's lead to 52 points with six rounds remaining, including three sprints. McLaren also extended their lead over Red Bull in the constructors' standings to 41 points. Norris expressed satisfaction with his performance, noting a few tense moments but overall a well-controlled race.

The race was largely incident-free, with no safety car deployment and only two retirements. Verstappen acknowledged the challenging weekend but saw the second-place finish as a positive outcome. George Russell took fourth place for Mercedes, followed by Charles Leclerc for Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes.

Last year's winner, Carlos Sainz, finished seventh for Ferrari, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg. Red Bull's Sergio Perez secured the final point. Daniel Ricciardo, despite setting the fastest lap, finished 18th and did not benefit from the bonus point, which only goes to those in the top 10.
