Dutch shipyard Oceanco and Italian design studio Mario Biferali Yacht Design have joined forces on a 150-metre concept named Anthos. This ambitious project envisions the transformation of a 10,630GT container ship into a private superyacht, marking the inaugural design in a series of "post-industrial" creations known as Nacht®.

"Nacht® is a fusion of 'naval' and 'yacht', where the former emphasizes functional design and the latter prioritizes high-end experiences," elucidated Biferali. "Our vision is to convert any merchant vessel into a luxury craft, merging vast dimensions with the simplicity of forms in a sophisticated minimalism that heralds a new design era." The name Anthos, derived from the ancient Greek word for "flower," symbolizes this fresh start.

The design features an extended main deck and a "tower" structure, primarily dedicated to the owner, excluding the bridge deck. The owner's multi-level apartment spans three decks, offering panoramic views and a private sundeck. The yacht also accommodates "super-VIP suites," a play area, media room, and interconnected kids' and nanny cabins, making it ideal for families with young children.

The foredeck boasts a helideck, sports court, elevated swimming pool, double sit-up bar, and multiple lounging areas. Cabins on the lower deck are accessible via the foredeck court, with high bulwarks enhancing privacy. Other notable amenities include a full-beam gym, cinema and media room, and a comprehensive wellness area featuring a sauna, Hammam, beauty salon, and treatment room.

Several living spaces can be adapted for scientific research, remote work, or philanthropic endeavors. The yacht will be staffed by a crew of 54, excluding the captain, whose cabin is located on the bridge deck.
