Palworld has officially launched on PlayStation 5 today, following its earlier access release on PC and Xbox Series X|S earlier this year. This expansive survival-crafting game experienced a significant surge in popularity upon its initial release and has now arrived on the PS5, despite currently facing a lawsuit from Nintendo for alleged patent infringement.

Palworld is an open-world survival-crafting game where players gather resources to establish a base of operations. It initially drew considerable attention due to its monster catching and battling mechanics, which bear a resemblance to the Pokemon series, albeit within a vastly different gaming context. Some of the Pal designs have been critiqued for their striking similarity to certain Pokemon designs, though Nintendo has not previously taken legal action on this matter.

Palworld's announcement for PlayStation 5 was part of the State of Play event, which featured numerous new game announcements. Prior to its PS5 release, Palworld had already achieved massive success, amassing 25 million players within its first month.
