The day is expected to be fair with occasional partly cloudy skies, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. Light to moderate winds will blow, occasionally picking up in intensity. Authorities have issued red and yellow alerts for certain areas (marked on the map below) due to fog and reduced visibility.

An advisory from the Centre warns of a "possibility of fog formation leading to a decline in horizontal visibility, which could further decrease at times over some coastal and inland regions, from 2:30am to 9:30am on Wednesday."

Temperatures are forecast to reach as high as 38ºC across the country. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures are expected to peak at 35ºC. However, temperatures will drop, potentially reaching as low as 22ºC in Abu Dhabi, 23ºC in Dubai, and 17ºC in inland areas.

Humidity levels will rise during the night and into Thursday morning, with fog or mist likely forming over some coastal and inland areas. Humidity will range from 35 to 90 percent in Abu Dhabi and 35 to 85 percent in Dubai. Sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
