Preorders for the PS5 Pro kick off today, September 26, at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. Currently, the $700 upgraded console can only be preordered through PlayStation Direct. Similar to the PS5 restocks when the original console was scarce, you'll have to wait in a queue at PlayStation Direct before securing your purchase. Major retailers will start accepting preorders on October 10. The PS5 Pro is slated to release on November 7 for $700, which is $200 more than the PS5 Slim ($500) and $250 more than the PS5 Slim Digital ($450). A limited-edition PS5 Pro is also available starting today as part of PlayStation's 30th Anniversary Collection. Only 12,300 units are being produced, so expect these to sell out quickly. For more information on the collection, which launches on November 21, check out our roundup. The PS5 Pro is a digital-only console, but it is compatible with the $80 disc drive attachment that PlayStation released last year. If you prefer to place your consoles vertically, you'll need to purchase the optional vertical stand for $30. In total, you could end up spending $820 plus local tax.
