The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a red alert on Friday due to ongoing foggy conditions across the UAE. A red alert signifies the need for residents to exercise extreme caution as the conditions can become severe. The weather department warned of reduced horizontal visibility, which may further decrease in certain coastal and inland areas until 9.00 in the morning.

As the UAE moves into winter, the weather is becoming more comfortable with lower temperatures. Over the past few days, the country has experienced morning fog, prompting authorities to lower speed limits for the safety of motorists.

Abu Dhabi Police, in a post on X, advised drivers to be cautious due to the reduced visibility caused by the fog. Motorists are encouraged to adhere to the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. A video from Storm Centre shows heavy fog on the roads leading to Abu Dhabi. Today will be slightly cooler, with temperatures reaching up to 37ºC, down from yesterday's 38ºC. Inland areas may see temperatures as low as 17ºC. Although the NCM forecasted foggy conditions in various parts of the country this morning, the overall weather is expected to be fair with occasional partial cloud cover.

Humid conditions are anticipated during the night and will persist into Saturday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist forming in some coastal and inland areas. Light to moderate winds are expected to blow across the country. The sea conditions will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
